2XC 2010 TWIN CAM FREERIDE SLALOM PERFORMANCE INTRODUCTION The 2XC offers quick and simple rigging, great low end power, smooth rotation and easy handling. With research and development directly linked to that of the SC Race Program, 2XC features all of the most recent innovations found our full bred race machine in user friendly package. Featuring 6 battens, and 2 simple mini cams for a full draft profile and a low and locked center of effort, the 2XC is the best choice for beginning Slalom or just drag racing against your friends. Plane first, fly fastest. PRODUCT IDEOLOGY - 2XC is a high performance freerace sail for the more experienced windsurfer who is looking for that extra power and stability that a camber sail offers. - 2XC has a new luff curve specifically designed to perform with a slightly less responsive mast as found with the SC-8. The SC-10 mast is compatable as a performance upgrade. - The low end power ensures effortless planing - Absolute highest technology in materials, manufacture and construction. - Simple and strong construction, very durable. - User-friendly, easy to rig and de-rig. CONSTRUCTION - Low Aspect Ratio, longer boom, shorter mast. Low-end power, gives a more constant feeling of power. - Mini cams on battens #4 and #5. - Only horizontal shape for a full cambered profile. - Dacron luff panel for smooth power delivery. - Clew cut out. The shorter boom gives a more stable rig and forces the shape forward while powered up, allowing for more control. - Kevlar stretch control tendons, increase the sails wind range, durability and allow for more controled power. - Symmetric batten pockets; a major technical advancement in sail design. Creating a perfect aerodynamic symmetry on both tacks of the sails whilst being both stronger and lighter than a traditional batten pocket. - Kevlar perimeter, low stretch, long life material for the main panels. Puts strength where you need it. NEW FOR 2010 - 6 battens and one stretch control tendon, for a reduced sail weight, and earlier planing. - Shorter luff, longer boom balanced by a deeper boom cut out. This gives 2XC more low end power with the same high end performance. - More shape just above and under the boom. - More luff curve in the lower part of the sail. - The new 2XC is more emphasized on Slalom performance. - A new homogeneous twist and a slightly tighter leech between the battens, gives a reduced swing weight and a lighter feel in the hands - Symmetric battens pocket.
